1nsanity's Guide
Good evening, 1nsanity here! I’m currently an active player in EulaRO. I’ve been playing Ragnarok for more than 10 years now (first started in 2009-2010), so I would like to share to you guys some experiences (particularly on this server)
Do apologize for any English grammar error, since English is not my first language
Note: This guideline only applies on this server. May not work on another server. This guideline is to give newbies some general understanding about this game based on my knowledge, so enjoy ;)
Let’s start!

What do newbies need to know?
- Homebase
We are situated in Askald. For more images… log onto the game and see more for yourself! I assure you, the music will soothe your soul :)
- NPCs
This is all the important NPCs you need to know. Won’t include everything, leaving space for exploration ;)
- Anna (Healer): Heal yourself to full, give Blessing & AGI UP (+Stats)
- Portal (Warper): Teleport yourself to anywhere you want. Towns, Fields, Dungeons, Instances,... you name it! (Except for really special ones where you needs to do quest to join)
- Kafra Employee (Save, Storage, Cart Rent,...)
- Rei (Job Master): Will change your job when you reach a certain base lvl/job level. Remember to use all your skill points!
- Tina (Platinum Skill NPC): To learn your special skill. Normally you don’t need to worry about this one, since this server allows your character to automatically learn the skill
- Rui (Job Changer Ex): Same job with Rei, except she’s for Extended Class. You can check all the class on https://ratemyserver.net/index.php?page=skill_db_class
- Tool Dealer: It’s a box who sells everything. Literally everything you need 🙂
- Stylist: Who said Ragnarok Online is all about grinding. We also care about our looks, and he’s here to do just that. Completely free to change your clothes, hair,...
- Sigurd (Universal Rental NPC): If you are playing Windhawk (Hunter), Dragon Knight (Knight) / Imperial Guard (Crusader), Biolo (Alchemist) / Meister (Blacksmith), you will need to know this guy. He’s all-in-one rental service (but free)
- Tora (Exchanger): This old man takes care of your points ingame, and you can exchange them for some cool stuff! I will explain more about the point system down below.
- Zell (Hunting Ground): This NPC is very handy when you are Lvl 200. Basically, you will be given a task to kill 400 mobs on each map. Each of them will reside in their own fields, with different elements (Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, Shadow, Holy). This is pretty tough, so in the early stage, ask someone to help you out. But this is definitely very important.
- Main Office
This is where the magic is happening 🙂 Inside the office, you will find all the NPC who sell the material necessary for your skill or for your character. However, there are some who actually stand out, such as:
- Weekly Quest: Upon clicking the board, you will see 4 different quests related to different aspects of the game. Each of them will grant you Blacksmith’s Blessing (this item is for refining-without-destroy, as when you perform a failed refinement, you will lose the item for good). Successfully completed all 4 and the reward is gonna be handsome~
- Lune: Show the stats or commands ingame.
- Eve Natalia: Wanna have a jump ahead on refinement? Just give this NPC her required equipment, and she will grant you a +7 Refine Ticket for each item you give her! The Refine Ticket is randomized, it can be Weapon/Armor.
- Dale (Reset NPC): You screwed up on your stats building or wanna try a new build? This dude will reset stats & skills for you, with a small fee.
- Ken (Gym Pass): Feel like you've been carrying too much? Visit this dude and he’ll make you stronger, more weight, more stuff to put in! (You’ll have to buy the Gym Pass in the Cash Shop)
Alright! Those are most of the NPCs you need to know. As I said, I won’t include everything here, leaving room for exploration. Moving on!
Eden Office
In this facility, you will find the key to level up fast: The mission board. It’s pretty straightforward. The board will give you a mission to kill an exact number of mobs, then grant you Base Exp/Job Exp.
There are a few things you need to remember here:
- Before you can take on a quest, you have to register first. Simply talk to NPC Secretary Lime Evenor -> Join the Eden Group -> Write your name two times because this girl doesn’t know how to read properly -> Done!
- Make sure to have your Battle Manual effect on. This book (depends on which type) will grant you +50% / +100% / +200% exp received, which will include the exp received from quests.
- There is a trick: Since you can only take quests on a certain level range, for instance, if you are level 100, you can’t take the quest on board Lv91-99, therefore, make sure you take all the quests, turn them in one-by-one when you finish. This is to maximize the amount of Exp you would get, which means faster leveling ~
- Starting from level 130, you will feel a bit difficult to handle the quest, as the monsters are stronger. This time you’ll need someone to help you. Ping me on discord 1nsanity#2909 and I’ll gladly help ya! If I’m not available, everyone here can help you out as well~
How to level properly?
Since this is considered a mid-high rate server, it’s fairly easy to reach max lvl. And with the help of Hunting Ground NPC - Zell, it’s even easier. Here’s my path to consider.
Note: There are many ways you can do it. Mine is just for references ~ Also, this might not work for Acolyte class, since that class is very different from the rest.
Before you start, make sure to open up the newbie pack (everyone gets it on a new account). Consume 1 Battle Manual and you’re good to go! (For 60 minutes)
Lv1-20: Warper -> Fields -> Prontena Field 0
Just kill anything you see, it should get you to Base Lv20/Job Lv10. Time to change job!
Lv20-50: Warper -> Dungeon -> Payon Dungeon 1
Again, kill everything you see. Zombie and Poporing are the priorities, as those give a lot of Exp. Change class again on Job Lv40-50 (depends on your preferences, I usually change at Job Lv50)
Lv50 - 70: Warper -> Dungeon -> Orc Dungeon 1
One more time, kill everything you see ;) You will hop to Lv70 in literally 2 minutes since Battle Manual is in effect, making you leveling faster than ever
Lv70 - 99: Warper -> Fields -> Luoyang Field
This is the part you have to be careful with, because you will aim for Mi Gao. It is a very high exp monster, but packs a punch with each hit. Make sure you have enough potion to spam. Stay here until Reborn (Lv99/Job Lv50).
Reborn means that you will start over as a High Novice. From here, you will go through the process again, until you reach Transcendent Class.
Note: It is important not to skip Transcendent Class. If you skip and go for job 3rd, you will be stuck there, unable to upgrade to 4th Job. Also you won’t be able to upgrade your skill, as you will miss your skill requirements.
Lv100 - 199: This is where the fun begin
Visit Eden Group and register. Start taking mission from Lv100-110 board and finish it. If you have any difficulties, ping me and I will assist you.
IMPORTANT note: Take all the quests, finish them all but turn them in ONE-BY-ONE. I can’t stress this enough, this is very important to maximize Exp receive. When you pass the ceiling of a board, for instance, you are level 111, start taking all the missions for the next board then repeat the process.
Remember to re-use Battle Manual if it runs out. BM is important for maximizing Exp as well.
Lv200-250: Hunting Ground!
Congratulations, Hunting Ground service has been opened for you (or another pain…). In here, you can follow these steps:
- Continue to take Eden Mission Board, repeat the same process as earlier
- After you finish everything on Eden Quests, return and take the Hunting Ground mission.
- In the HG mission, it’s best to ask for help, since Hunting Ground is very difficult for newbies to deal with. Monsters there are very strong, some can even one-shot you.
Important Quests
Leveling is not everything. In fact, it’s just a small fracture of what you will experience next. This game is designed for the player to build up the character to the strongest, through insane equipment and cards. These quests are the bread and butter to unlock the access to more equipment. So please, at all cost, finish it and understand Ragnarok history at the same time 🙂
These main story quests are linked to each other, so there is no shortcut 🙂 Just enjoy the content! I’ve also put in the link for instructions, so no worries!
1. Episode 16.1: Banquet of Heroes
2. Episode 16.2: Terra Gloria
3. Episode 17.1: Illusion
4. Episode 17.2: Sage’s Legacy
5. Episode 18: Direction of Prayer
Important Commands
In the game, in addition to using chat to talk to people, you can also use the following commands (remove quotes when typing).
Note, these commands are basically necessary, below there will be a link to see more.
“@rates”: Each server will have different rates, corresponding to the amount of experience received or the drop rate. Ragnarok Official will have a rate of 1x/1x/1x (Level exp/Job exp/Item drop)
Example: 1 monster has 1000 exp. If the server rate is 1x, the player will get 1000 exp. As in my server, 100x/100x/30x, which means the player will get 100000 exp. Similar to Item Drop, multiply by x
“@cooldown”: In the game there will be a feature called Instances. Usually each instance will have a cooldown of ~24hr. Use this command to see how long you have to wait before you can move on.
“@time”: Show the ingame time in the server. This is used to count the time to spawn MVP (Boss Monster).
“@go +x”: Used to go to the specified place. X can be a town-based number, can be a town name or a map name. Default will be “@go 0” to return to main city
“@workshop”: Teleport yourself to the place of refining. In there you will find every NPC related to equipment, let it be refining, card removal, materials,...
“@autoloot x”: Automatically pick up items. X is the number of %. For example, if you want to pick up items with a 50% drop rate or lower, the command would be “@autoloot 50”. If only autoloot is recorded, it will default 100%
“@alootid +x”: Pick up items by type, or pick up exactly what you need. You must go to RateMyServer or Divine-Pride to look up the item's ID.
“@alootid reset”: Refresh the list to automatically pick up your items (because each time you can only remember 13 items)
“@mining”: Teleport to the mining area (ability to drop rare materials to refine items). You will need to buy a Pickaxe from the NPC near there and equip it. Not doing so will cause you to lose HP. Pickaxe has a certain durability, so after a number of mining, you will have to buy a new one
